Log August 2006
(If you prefer to scan just follow the blue highlights)
Please forgive the lack of scripture references in the log. These topics will hopefully be covered in time.
2006 August 22 Now to tackle the overhaul of the 'spirit' pages. Must later have a page "Holy Spirit".
2006 August 17 Although we have spoken about how you do not go to heaven when you die, it does not mean of course that you will never see heaven.
Those fortunate people who are chosen by God to be resurrected to eternal life will have access to God, they will be part of his family, in fact they will be one with God. God's name will be practically plastered all over them.
Zech 14:9 The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name. (from New International Version)
Rev 3:12 Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. (from New International Version)
You are invited.
2006 August 16 Today we overhauled the page how-to-study-the-bible
It's imperative to know how to study and research the Bible in order to avoid what could be tragic errors.
Terrible things have been done in the name of religion by misguided leaders. We only have to read the story of the Good Samaritan.

Men born after Jesus Christ (please refer to the pages on the Spirit in Man, Future History, and the Kingdom of God)
Let's divide these into three basic groups 1 the believers; 2 those who God judges to have not had a chance. For example there are many millions since 26 AD who have never even heard of the name Jesus; 3 those who God judges to have heard the gospel of the kingdom, understood it, and rejected it.
1. The believers. These are the elect who will rise at the return of Jesus Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
2. Those who did not have their chance. No doubt this group will include those who God decides, even though they may have fleetingly heard the name 'Jesus', had no chance of understanding. Their life will be as for those born before Jesus. See previous day's log.
3. Those who rejected Jesus. The future for them is bleak - darkness and death. Their fate will be decided either when Jesus returns, or at the time of the great last judgment.
Note: this log is now appearing in Blogspot.com
2006 August 14 Men born before Jesus Christ, including those before the great flood of Noah (please refer to the pages on the Spirit in Man, and Future History)
Birth Birth and receiving of the spirit of man.
Life They lived a certain amount of time.
Death Death when the will and consciousness cease. They did not go to live in heaven, they were dead. The spirit returned to God.
Life Resurrection to physical life again (with the same spirit he had before) on earth at the end of the thousand years. He now has time and opportunity to choose life or death. That time of judgment when sentence is passed.
Tomorrow we will quickly look at all the main events of life and death for the billions born after Jesus Christ.
2006 August 13 Progress is being made but slowly and there are things i wish to say.
People think they go to heaven when they die while the wicked go to live in hell.
Death is called 'death' because you die. Death is not a time of life and consciousness. When Jesus died he died. It was only some days after his resurrection that he ascended to his Father.
Tomorrow we will quickly look at all the main events of life and death for the billions born before Jesus Christ who never heard the gospel or even his name.
Make sure you continue to study the Bible every day. There is a time coming of a famine for the Word of God when the righteous man will not be found. It's urgent. That's why Jesus cried out in a loud voice for men to hear.
2006 August 9 People beset by tragedy, and there are millions, ask, "Why, God, why?".
The answer awful as it is, is that the world we live in is Satan's world; it is the world of the desires of the flesh, it is the world of the evil desires of men's hearts. Until Jesus returns things will only get worse.
This question needs more time spent on it. Jesus warned us to expect tribulation in this life.
2006 August 8 How do we know there is a God?
If you were to land on a desert island, and there on the beach a computer had been set up on a table, and with a power generator, you would know that man had been there before you.
If then you take a walk on the island, taking note of the varieties of plants, thousands of insects, the different forms of life on the edge of the shoreline, you know that God has been there before you.
How can we believe the Bible?
Just as a piece of literature by itself, the Bible is a wondrous thing. Scholars of Hebrew and ancient language marvel at its intricacy and the marvellous feats of language skill.
Could you have invented the Bible? Could any man or groups of men have invented it?
Could you write something that would be studied for thousands of years? .. that men would lay down their lives for? .. that accurately foretold future events? .. that despite immense opposition would still be passed down from generation to generation? .. that gives the foundations for a joyous, wealthy, and healthy society?
Just as a small example; Psalm 119 contains 176 verses, each verse being related to Gods laws and ways. On top of this, the verses have an alphabetic pattern to them.
Happy is the nation whose rulers long for the coming government of God!
